Mother's Day Protein French Toast

Mother’s Day is almost upon us! You know what that means, breakfast buffet in bed, with a nice warm cup of tea and some flowers. If you’re not sure what to whip up in the kitchen, we’ve got you covered.  

Beautiful Berry French Toast 

Who said French toast had to be difficult? This simple recipe will take you 15 minutes, but you’ll want to make sure you make enough for yourself! It will be too good not to try. With the use of egg whites, this breakfast is high in protein and relatively low in sugar (if you skip the Nutella).

Ingredients: 

½ cup of egg whites 

2 tbsp. Stevia 

1 tsp. Vanilla extract 

1 tsp cinnamon 

Bread of choice 

Topping: 

Nutella 

Berries 

Sugar Free Maple Syrup 

Method: 

Whisk together the egg whites, cinnamon, vanilla and stevia until light and fluffy. Dip the bread into the mixture, so it’s coated on both sides. Fry the bread on a medium high heat until golden brown.  

Decorate with Nutella, berries and sugar free maple syrup and you’re good to go!
